Apollo continues to grow and, as such, is looking to recruit a new Business Development Executive to work across the energy spectrum to drive new business.
This role will report into the Business Development Manager and whilst it will primarily look at the Aberdeen market, some travel outside of the North-East of Scotland will be required. Time and effort will be split between oil and gas, decarbonisation and renewable energy clients[M(1] , allowing the successful candidate a rewarding and diverse work life.
Working alongside our existing BD team, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing key client relationships within Apollo’s current client base whilst also developing new relationships. We are looking for a bright, energetic and articulate individual with business development experience and a genuine passion for making a significant contribution towards Apollo’s growth plans. We need someone who can credibly communicate Apollo’s services to high profile organisations with gravitas and technical understanding.
You will also need to demonstrate your ability to:
- Sell engineering services to the UK market
- Establish new client relationships, even in saturated and competitive markets
- Secure additional orders from existing customers by trying new approaches and displacing competitors
- Contribute to and lead compelling bid processes and sales pitches – keeping our clients’ goals and values at the heart of sales messages with an understanding of how Apollo’s own vision aligns
- Contribute to a strategic sales plan and enthusiastically work towards challenging but achievable KPIs
- Demonstrate commercial and technical astuteness
- Articulate Apollo’s business proposition and communicate our services, vision and values
- Contribute to marketing campaigns by having clear ideas around sales messages, key target areas and thought leadership
- Identify key industry events then create a proposed calendar of events for Apollo to exhibit at or attend
- Demonstrate knowledge about the energy industry and its many facets
- Secure contracts of various sizes, types and values through focussed, tenacious sales effort directed in the right areas
- Liaising with company staff within other regions to ensure a co-ordinated and company-aligned BD approach to business strategy and initiatives
