Apollo is recruiting a Project Manager to join our existing team in our central Aberdeen offices to support current and future projects.
Apollo provides engineering and project services focused predominately on offshore oil & gas (topsides and subsea), renewables and marine, delivering support to our client’s engineering needs. By being technically led with appropriate project controls, we aim to provide our clients maximum engineering value with fit for purpose solutions.
Our multidiscipline engineering and design teams have expertise across the project life cycle from concept, FEED, detail design and construction through to late life and decommissioning.
The Project Manager role provides the opportunity to join in our continuing success by bringing your knowledge, energy and enthusiasm to our innovative engineering solutions, whilst continuing to learn, take on extra responsibility and also share experience.
Duties:
- Ensures team members have a clear understanding of the overall strategy, business drivers and priorities of the project.
- Develop project plans including engineering design/procurement, fabrication, vendor mobilisation, offshore construction and commissioning.
- Manages the interface and communication processes between parties on all project activities.
- Ensures changes to technical specifications are understood, managed and appropriately captured in engineering and related documentation.
- Ensures risk assessments are undertaken.
- Manages project budgets/costs, and prepare cost report, revenue forecasting on a weekly basis
- Prepare tender documents for engineering, procurement and construction opportunities
- Reviews work schedules/plans, identifies opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, maximise use of resources, etc.
- Execute all projects in compliance to legislation, codes and standards and Apollo’s processes and procedures
- Work to be normally performed at the Company's offices in Aberdeen but there may be requirements to work at client offices and/or offshore in occasional circumstances and/or other satellite Apollo offices
- Provide leadership, mentorship and guidance to less experienced staff as required
Requirements
- An engineering degree with relevant engineering experience and has recently begun a career in project engineering
- Ideally chartered or actively working towards chartered status
- Proven people management and communications skills (written and verbal) and able to work with all levels of management and staff
- Technical and leadership abilities with a proven understanding of project facilitation, change and delivery
- Experience in project planning, cost control and procurement
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
