Apollo is a fast-paced engineering consultancy working within the oil and gas, hydrogen and renewables markets. Our technical placements business helps our clients achieve their engineering goals by giving them access to talented and assured engineers, designers and project professionals on a temporary basis. Working alongside our broader engineering consultancy business, this established business unit is highly successful and has grown significantly in the past 2 years.
We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a talented technical recruiter who will lead the business unit and a small in-house recruitment team to drive its continued success.
Key experiences
The successful candidate will have
- a demonstrable track record in technical contract recruitment, ideally within the O&G and/or Renewable engineering disciplines
- experience of either agency or in-house end to end recruitment
- excellent contract negotiations skills
- show drive and experienced with networking an existing client base and developing new opportunities across the national energy market
- be passionate about providing the very best service to clients and candidates alike.
- engagement and securing technical talent in the market
Day to day activities will include:
- engaging and meeting existing and new clients to identify and secure a consistent pipeline of opportunities for the business unit
- managing a small team of resourcers to ensure Apollo’s Applicant Tracking System is compliant and fully up to date whilst ensuring that the candidate experience through the recruitment process is market leading
- working with the broader Apollo business development team to facilitate a coordinated and company-aligned approach to the business strategy and collective initiatives
- co-ordinating with Apollo’s Operations Director and other stakeholders to understand how the Technical Placements business unit can support and compliment broader business needs – in support of internal and external clients
- assessing and improving standard operating procedures for the Technical Placements business unit to ensure the process is smooth, efficient and drives the right outcomes
- promoting and representing the company, including presentations at industry events, conferences and exhibitions when required
